I/ In-Country and In-Region Scholarship
The application must be made in two steps.
First step, the applicants have to submit their application via DAAD Portal with the deadline 20/11/2024
Second step, they must apply at the same time for admission at the selected institution. The institution sets its own deadline for the admission process. Please learn about the following programmes:
1) At Asian Institute of Technology

II/ Reminder for the application deadlines
A)Scholarship programmes for doctoral candidates
1) Research Grants - Doctoral Programmes in Germany - Full scholarship to complete a doctoral programme in Germany. The scholarship duration is from 3 to maximum 4 years. Deadline: 21/10/2024
2) Research Grants – Bi-Nationally Supervised Doctoral Degrees – Scholarships for domestic PhD students who want to carry out part of their research proposal in Germany. The scholarship duration is from 1 to maximum 2 years. Deadline: 21/10/2024
3) Research Grants in Germany (short term from 2 to 12 months)
Short-term research fellowships of 2 to 12 months are for candidates who are doing their doctorate at a university or research institution outside Germany. Deadline: 7/10/2024
B) Scholarship programmes for master candidates
1) STEM - Study scholarships for STEM disciplines
These scholarships give students from developing and emerging countries the chance to obtain a Master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and engineering in a state or state-recognized university in Germany. Deadline: 21/10/2024
2) Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (DAAD EPOS)
The scholarships offer graduates from developing countries from different disciplines and with at least two years' professional experience the chance to take a selected postgraduate or Master's degree at a state or state-recognised German university, and in exceptional cases to take a doctoral degree, and to obtain a university qualification (Master's/PhD) in Germany. Deadline: depends on the selected study programmes.
